Drawing and Painting for the Terrified Beginner with Kathryn Chelin 


This course will cover the basic principles and techniques of drawing such as proportional measurement, perspective and shading.  The mediums used are graphite, charcoal, conte, pen, chalk and oil pastel.  The focus is to build perception skills and hand-eye coordination.  Participants will be using subject matter such as still life, figure, portraiture, and landscape.  You will be amazed at the representational work you can create with just a little instruction.

Fee: regular $15/class or $100/series, free with a Senior Social Membership
